Investors looking at diversified, low cost options to invest in, large cap companies with a good dividend paying track record can consider this fund. One needs to have a demat account to invest in this.”
  4. “Bharat 22 ETF aims to bring broad-based ownership pattern to public sector enterprises. The disinvestment programme now forms the core of the government’s investment strategy,” Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) Joint Secretary Anuradha Thakur said. While the initial issue size for the ETF is Rs 8,000 crore, we can also consider going beyond looking at the response,” she added.

  4. “The relaxations are expected to help further development of people-to-people exchanges between Japan and India by enhancing convenience for Indian tourists and business persons as well as repeat visitors,” the release said.

  3. In 1904, she was appointed the Lady Assistant to the Court of Wards of Bengal after she had petitioned for female legal representatives for women and minors in court. In 1924, the profession of law was finally opened to India, allowing them to fight cases in the court. Sorabji is believed to have helped over 600 women and children and often, is believed to have dispensed her service free of charge.

  1. Former Murshidabad MP and senior Trinamool Congress leader Abdul Mannan Hossain has died at a city hospital today due to age related problems. He was 65 years old.
  2. His son Shamik Hossain said, “He was suffering from old age problems and was admitted to the hospital where he passed away this evening.”
  3. He was the Congress leader and and had two term of the MP of the party from 2004-2014. Earlier he was an MLA of Congress from 1987.
  4. He had joined TMC in 2014 after he had differences with the Congress’ state leadership.
