India-Japan civil nuclear deal finally comes into force

It seeks to promote full cooperation between the two countries in the development and uses of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes on a stable, reliable and predictable basis,” said the statement.

Siberell said: “The broad trend, however, is a slight decrease from 2015, and that — in 2015 had a slight decrease from 2014. 2014, of course, was a year of significant increase — really a spike, frankly — in global terrorist attacks due largely to the — coinciding with the rise of ISIS, vicious attacks in Nigeria conducted by Boko Haram, et cetera.”

India on track to grow at 7.4 per cent in 2017: Asian Development Bank report

  3. “Developing Asia is off to a good start this year with improved exports pushing growth prospects for the rest of 2017,” said Yasuyuki Sawada, ADB’s Chief Economist.
  4. “Despite lingering uncertainties surrounding the strength of the global recovery, we feel that the region’s economies are well placed to face potential shocks to the outlook,” Sawada said.

Rs 20 notes in Mahatma Gandhi 2005 series soon: RBI

  1. The Reserve Bank of India has announced that it will launch soon the newly note of the Rs 20 in Mahatma Gandhi series 2005 that will be similar in design to those currently in circulation.
  2. In this new type of the note there will be the print of the letter ‘S’ in the number panel and signature of Governor Urjit R Patel, the RBI said in a notification on Wednesday.
  3. Both the number panels will have inset letter ‘S’, the RBI said, adding that the design of these banknotes to be issued now is similar in all aspects to the Rs 20 banknotes in the same series issued earlier.
  4. “All the banknotes in the denomination of Rs 20 issued by the Bank in the past will continue to be legal tender,” the RBI added.

ICRA, IIFCL launch rating system for infra projects
