Australia’s Olympic champion Stephen Wooldridge dies at 39

  1. Australian who was the great part of the gold in the Olympic, and he was champion Stephen Wooldridge has been died at the age of 39.
  2. Wooldridge was the Australian team cyclist and has won gold on the track in the 2004 Athens Olympics and won four world titles in the same event in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2006.
  3. “Stephen was an exceptional cyclist and Olympic Champion who will forever be remembered. He was always very giving of his time to the Olympic movement, helping out with fundraising efforts whenever he could for the Australian Olympic Team over the years. Our deepest condolences are with his family, friends and all of those impacted by Stephen’s passing.” said AOC President John Coates.

He was an outstanding team pursuiter, being a four time world champion in the discipline along with being the 2002 Commonwealth Games champion.
