To change the life of the farmer and to make them available, which is threatening to damage the image of the BJP and the central government, Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh told to the pesticide industry to bring down prices and called for a meeting on Friday to press for the reduction of seed prices.
  2. Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh, “The recommendation of the CACP (Commission for Agricultural Costs & prices) has come. The Cabinet will consider it and announce the MSP… There would be an increase of Rs 400 for oil seeds and pulses,”
  3. Singh said, “I will exhort private companies to reduce prices of seeds so that initiatives taken by the government for farmers are supported. The government’s attempts have been to reduce the cost of production in the agriculture sector. So, bringing down prices of seeds is very important.”
  4. “Many states are not able to give MSP for farmers and are forced to buy grain from other states for ration. So the government is very particular that states would have to give the MSP declared to farmers. There are states that are not able to purchase produce at MSP rates and do not procure as per requirement,” he said.

Haryana Police booked 15 Dalit protesters on sedition charge in Karnal

I am not aware if the sedition charges are there are not, but if at all there is any element of sedition, we will take a legal opinion. If the charge is not made out, it would be revoked,”
  2. “The struggle was against a wrong that was committed, and the sedition charge is an attempt to suppress it. The police action has declared that it is now illegal to gather people for a protest. The leadership has been the focus of police action as they want to suppress the protest,” said Monika, a post-graduate student of Mass Communication in Kurukshetra University and an accused in the FIR.
  3. “The FIR is not yet in the public domain and the police department refused to share it with the delegation, stating that team has no right to receive a copy,” said Advocate Ankit Grewal, a member of the delegation.

Asked about their meeting with Khattar, one of the organisers of the protest, who did not wish to be named, said, “It was a meeting of a few minutes while the Chief Minister was on a visit to Karnal and was walking towards his vehicle. SpaceX targeting Monday launch from KSC
